I'm so sorry I got sick and just sorta caught up playing catch up, but the terrain tags do seem to work. I use regions to finetune some of the other things. Man, you do amazing work.

hi there! These work great! I didn't know if you could possibly do more with Poker, Blackjack, and roulette? I'd like to have casino minigames for a level, but personally know little to nothing about these games myself.

Thanks!

(1 edit)

They are actually working together surprisingly well. It seems to mainly be walls that have the hiccup. Other B, C, etc. tiles stop me. It does seem like the jump impulse won't work, but I suspect that may be more so linked to a stamina system I have that toggles dash on and off.

More likely than not, this is due to the ABS system I'm using (Phoenix KageDesu's ABS-Z). It's great, but it definitely causes wonkiness with other non-PKD plugins. The jump system works well, and if I'm flush against a wall, the character won't jump through it, but if I start the jump with a tile between the player and the wall, the player lands in the wall. I can paint regions if need be, the system is worth the effort, but it's just tedious.

Hi there,

Would it be possible to add a feature that prevents the player from jumping through what would otherwise be an impassable tile, in addition to the region restrictions, but without otherwise having to go through and paint every impassable object in every map?

Actually, that would probably be better in the long-run; variables and CE.

This works amazingly. I put a link up on the ABS-Z Discord recommending it. The only thing I'd like to see added (if possible) is the possibility to add variables or scripts upon contact instead of just self switches. That would add even more versatility for these items in on-map combat.

That got it, thanks so much!

For what it's worth (and for anybody else curious), this works perfectly within the Phoenix Kage Desu ABS-Z framework.

Quick question - Is there anything to carry over to my project besides the image folder and the plugin files? I copied over the settings verbatim and I can pull up the window to select the tools, but the tools themselves are grayed out and the button is unresponsive. It doesn't break the game, it just doesn't do anything. I scoured the demo to see if there were any kind of initialization events or anything and didn't see anything; just the discoverable plugin command on the chests (Excellent streamlined process, btw). I switched all of the other plugins in my project off to see if it was a conflict, but it behaved the same way, which makes me think I overlooked something that needed to be brought over.

So, update: Apparently, I bought this when I first started learning the game developing process a couple of months back and completely forgot until I bought it again lol. Not even mad. You do amazing work and I'm beyond grateful for all the contributions you make to the RPG Maker community. Thanks for what you do!

Hi there. This looks AMAZING! Two quick questions before I buy:

1. I assume I can modify the images of the tools to something that suits my game (maybe a lasso instead of a hookshot)Hooksett?

2. Do you know if this is compatible with ABS systems?

I don't know if they would implement it at this time, but I'm definitely earmarking your plugin for a future project. Brilliantly done, great job!

Sorry if what I'm asking is off base, but is there a way to use an image predicated on a variable to denote what image to show rather than location?

i.e. - If I attach a variable to the main storyline progression, can I use a different image instead of the map location screenshot?

Hi, I love the idea of this plugin. I downloaded the demo, but it isn't quite working for me. Do you know if it is compatible with an ABS system (I'm specifically using Phoenix Kage Desu's Alpha ABS-Z) or does it measure the wear on durability only in the turn-based combat scenes?

Only because I'm running into some other compatibility issues, does this plugin work with the Phoenix Kage Desu ABS-Z system? I'm currently trying to find a way to bypass the "equip" menu and just have items selectable as either weapons or tools. Would this be able to achieve that without going through a menu process of selecting the weapon and assigning it to a character?

Thanks!

Hi there! Love your work! I'm interested in this plugin, but for a very specific situation:

If my character is on a collectible side quest for CDs that he can play out of a stereo in the room, would this plugin allow me to have the stereo only present the option to play a CD that he has without me otherwise doing a bunch of conditional branches?

Thanks!
