CRANE MINI GAME

Hello and thanks for trying out my crane mini game! This is free to use in commercial and non-commercial games, so long as they don’t involve sexual exploitation of an illegal nature.

This plugin was made for and tested ONLY with RPG Maker MZ .

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Unzip the folder

2. Place the crane folder with the images in img/pictures. Leave the folder named crane

3. Place the machine sprite sheet in your characters folder (the images do not move but are structured to reflect the design of the default cabinet options)

4. Place the js folder in your plugins folder. Defaults SHOULD be already spaced to a game with default RPG Maker resolution. 

5. Prizes populate from your icon sheet and use note tags on the item data base such as:

<CranePrize>

Pool: ITEMS

Weight: 3

PoolWeight: 1

Special: false

</CranePrize>

Pool Weight governs how likely an item is to appear (rarer items also trend further from the claw). Weight is the actual weight of the item, making it easier or harder to grab.

6. Sound effects and BGM supported, but not included in this pack.

7. Set the plugin command to start the game in the event. 

8. Use debug to see the alignment of the claw and what items are targeted upon the claw being deployed (Red box is the grab box, blue box is the target).

There isn’t a depth options to move the crane into the foreground or the background, sorry, but there is left to right action and some fairly dynamic settings for outcomes and manipulating the game. The prizes populate from your icon sheet.

I’ll support the plugin as best as I can, but I can’t promise too much in that regard.
